how to go about poemletters

i thought i’d explain how i plan to go about squeezing poetry out of an old olympia in the middle of a chaotic concert hall with kids and laughter and families and food and songs and music and arnis sticks tapping and cameras clicking and every chaotic bedlam around me ringing.

first, i thought i’d change poetry-on-demand to poemletters. i think this will be easier for people to understand once they get to the event, plus, everyone has many things to say to particular people. why not say it with poetry?

next, think loveletter. let me know who the poem’s for, and what you’d like to say.

pick your paper. i’ll have a few ready at the event. they will all be recycled from various sources – but i hope you won’t recognize that.

pick some rubber stamp designs for your envelope.

be patient with me if i have to ask you questions. i’ll restrain myself, i promise.

watch me type on a manual olympia typewriter.

your poem should be ready in 10 minutes.
